VHS Transfers

& Other media conversion

Technology changes at an overwhelming rate.

Let’s get you caught up!

VHS & DVD.

At the start of my business in 2010, transferring VHS tapes to DVD was one of my most popular services. My brand new iMac came equipped with iMovie and iDVD, which made it so easy to import home videos and burn DVD collections of all the favorite moments. Within 5 years though, that method of media management was already outdated.

The technology problem.

From 2010 to 2016, all of my wedding clients received a DVD copy of their wedding day footage. In 2013, my new iMac came without a disc drive. I still used an older computer to burn the DVDs, but soon I came to find that many of my clients didn’t even own a DVD player anymore. By 2016, I delivered all footage on an external hard drive, and began online delivery soon after.

“I came to find that most of my clients didn’t even own a DVD player anymore”…

It’s time to stream.

Life in 2020 forced everyone to become a bit more tech savvy. Connecting with loved ones meant Zoom calls and utilizing streaming apps like Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu and Disney +. If you buy a new TV today, it will likely come with built in buttons for those apps!

Casting from your smartphone or computer is also way more commonplace, and newer TVs can share your screen without needing an external device such as Roku, Firestick, or Chromecast. It is so easy to watch just about anything ON DEMAND.

Watching your home movies should be just as easy.

I use the streaming service Mediazilla to deliver you a personal video collection that can be enjoyed wherever you go. Sharing with friends & family is done with one click. Rest assured that the tape will not warp, the disc will not skip, and the USB will not be misplaced. Your most cherished memories can be preserved in the most modern format.
